330 kV 120 MVAr variable shunt reactor for Latvia

AS „Augstsprieguma tīkls“

01/09/2016 UAB „Ekobana“ signed an agreement with the Latvian high voltage network operator AS „Augstsprieguma tīkls“ for delivery and installation of 330 kV 120 MVAr variable shunt reactor at the transformer substation „Aizkraukle“.

The variable shunt reactor was delivered, installed and launched in January 2019. This is the first of its kind in the Republic of Latvia!

In July 2018 UAB „Ekobana“ signed another contract with the same customer for the supply and installation of the similar shunt reactor at the transformer substation „TEC-2“ - this unit will be delivered and installed in September 2019.
